About “The Chosen”

The Chosen is the first ever multi-season TV show about the life of Jesus. Last year during Lent we joined together as a congregation and viewed Season One. Beginning January 12th and each Wednesday through February 23rd, all people connected with Shepherd of the Hills are invited to take part in The Chosen Season Two.

The Chosen is an amazing, biblically based, quality video series that tracks the life of Jesus through the gospels. We will be using this free video resource along with the biblical text to dig into Jesus’ life and learn more about what he did while he was here on earth. If you are unfamiliar with this new series, here’s a quick preview.

There are eight episodes in the second season of The Chosen, and our plan is to watch one episode per week and encourage everyone to gather in person. Each Wednesday will offer two opportunities to see the episode and discuss as a group at church. 1:00 pm in the Sanctuary OR 6:30 p.m. in the Fellowship Hall.

It will be fitting to watch these episodes during the church season of Epiphany which celebrates the fact that Jesus is man and God, and he came so that everyone would have access to God. Season two begins where season one finished. A good refresher for season two would be to watch Episode 8 of Season One before January 12.
