DESCRIPTION:Lutheran Cursillo of Arizona Weekend #167 is now accepting applications! \nCursillo stands for a short course in the study of Jesus. The purpose is to give those who attend the ability to make Christian Community possible in our homes\, workplace\, and community where we live the greater part of our lives. \nWe are a lay-led movement focused on preparing strong Christian leaders to go back into their churches and communities and serve. As a self-supporting organization\, we operate independently of any synod or other church body but adhere to the core values and teachings of the Lutheran faith. \nThis will be a “blended” weekend for both men and women. The weekend will be held at Emmanuel Pines Camp in Prescott\, AZ beginning Thursday late afternoon on September 18th and will conclude on Sunday afternoon\, September 21st. Accommodations will be separate for men and women. Transportation will be provided both ways. For an application or more information\, please contact Pastor Jeff\, Donna Hawkinson or Roger Miller.

DESCRIPTION:Walk\, Pray\, and Connect Together\nSonja Almlie hosts a walking group on Wednesday mornings. \nWe’ll meet every Wednesday at 6:30 AM at Fountain Park\, under the pavilion next to the splash pond. Together we’ll begin with a short Bible verse and prayer\, then walk one or two laps around the pond. \nMen and women are welcome — and feel free to bring a neighbor or friend! \nThis is a wonderful way to start your day with fellowship\, fresh air\, and encouragement in God’s Word.

For those experiencing homelessness\, a quality pair of shoes means mobility\, dignity\, and access to opportunities like job interviews\, medical appointments\, and daily survival. \nA collection box will be located in the church lobby—please consider purchasing a pair from an outlet store\, clearance section\, or discount retailer and dropping it off to bless someone in need this season.
